Going Home

We camped in central Colorado last night and drove straight through to my parent's place outside Philadelphia. It was a brutal drive, made worse by a severe line of thunderstorms that we seemed to follow from Indiana all the way to Pennsylvania. After cleaning up, we drove home to New York City, and Mel was now on his way to becoming a New Yorker.

Days 35 & 36: South Dakota to Pennsylvania

We did not wake up today knowing that we would drive straight home, but that is what we did over these two days. Through South Dakota, along the back roads of Iowa, through overnight storms in Illinois, and morning in the Appalachians and, finally, home around mid-afternoon.

Day 2: Ohio to St. Louis

We left Scott this morning and drove along the Ohio River in southeast Indiana. Soon, we were on the flat Illinois plains and arrived in St. Louis to stay with my friend Dwayne for a couple days.

Day 1: Pennsylvania to Ohio

Today we left on our epic journey. We traveled through Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and ended our day in Dayton, Ohio visiting with our friend Scott.
