Pennsylvania

We camped in central Colorado last night and drove straight through to my parent's place outside Philadelphia. It was a brutal drive, made worse by a severe line of thunderstorms that we seemed to follow from Indiana all the way to Pennsylvania. After cleaning up, we drove home to New York City, and Mel was now on his way to becoming a New Yorker.

Our first destination is New York City, a 10-hour drive across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

I dropped Suzanne in Vermont for the summer and returned home today, taking as many back roads as I could to make the trip last.

I drive up to New York City to visit with Suzanne and pick her up on our way to Vermont.

We are heading home today. But, we took our time. Drove through the Adirondacks, then into the Catskills, and down into the Poconos and finally home.

The first leg of our trip in our talking Chrysler was to stay with my Aunt Linda and Uncle Tom near Boston. We drove through northeast Pennsylvania and over New York and Connecticut before arriving at their house in Massachusetts.

We did not wake up today knowing that we would drive straight home, but that is what we did over these two days. Through South Dakota, along the back roads of Iowa, through overnight storms in Illinois, and morning in the Appalachians and, finally, home around mid-afternoon.

Today we left on our epic journey. We traveled through Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and ended our day in Dayton, Ohio visiting with our friend Scott.
