Tribute in Light

Went downtown to see the Tribute in Light memorial tonight. This is becoming an annual ritual. Started tonight in Brooklyn Bridge Park, south of the bridge, and made my way over the bridge and walked toward the lights and the WTC site.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

I wanted to capture the lights over the glassy water with some time exposures. Some of these are over 20 seconds, with a fairly stopped down aperture.

Another photographer flashed a strobe on the Fulton Pier, and I thanked him after I took this shot.

Vista Denied

Due to construction, part of the Brooklyn Bridge promenade is now surrounded by an ugly corrugated metal fence. I do like how the light reflects off the metal, though.
