Hell’s Kitchen Sunset
I was at one of my favorite rooftop bars and took some shots of the sunset over Hell’s Kitchen. Actually, this location provides a great view of Hell’s Kitchen—the low-rise buildings in the foreground.
I like this view of the skyline from this vantage point. It has a generic look to it—there’s nothing that screams “New York.” Only a sliver of the Empire State is visible, and no other quintessentially New York landmarks appear from here.
In the first sequence, the sun creeps down the façades as it gets closer to disappearing over the horizon.
