Paris By Day
Daytime shots from my first time in Paris. These cover the gamut, so there’s not a lot of rhyme or reason here. I won’t include any commentary here, just the photos.

Pont des Arts is a pedestrian bridge that links up with the Palais du Louvre, which was once called Palais des Arts in the mid 19th century. This is where people leave their padlocks, hoping one day to return.

The Musée d'Orsay, the manageably sized museum of Impressionist, Postimpressionist, and Art Nouveau movements. Housed in an old train station, the building itself inspires and compliments the art within.

Boy scouts in a Paris playground.

The Tour Eiffel on a foggy day. At no time, and under no condition, is the Eiffel Tower anything but sublime.

A cafe in the Montmartre.

Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss, by Antonio Canova and sculpted in 1787.

An ornate ceiling inside the Louvre.

A coughing cat in an ad at the Victor Hugo Metro station.

The Plaza Athénée, a famous hotel in Paris.

The Basilique du Sacré Cœur.

The red mill, formerly a flour mill, then a popular theater where the risqué can-can was made popular, now it's a tourist destination.

The gardens beside the Louvre. The trees are just beginning to turn yellow.
