Sikh Parade 2013

I love watching the Sikh Parade when I can. It happens each spring, and ends in Madison Square Park with a large party. The people are so beautiful, and the colors are so vibrant. I feel like a bit of an outsider lurking in the park taking pictures, but I usually get some candid shots that I really like.

A few other photos I took this day. These two in Madison Square Park. The first is a macro shot of a flower about to bloom. The other is the art installation in the park: Red by Orly Genger.

And, finally, a couple random shots around town. The first at one of those wholesalers on Broadway in the Flatiron area, where these ladies are shopping for a necklace. And, an old neon parking garage sign that caught my eye outside the New York Times building on 43rd Street.
