Fall Day with Friends
First up, a close-up portrait of a friend, causally on the street as we were walking.
Central Park in Fall
Next, a couple strolling in Central Park when the leaves are at their absolute peak. Nothing beats Central Park in fall—I don’t care what all those New England leaf peepers say.
Part of the reason why Central Park is particularly exceptional is that each tree was planned and planted. These are not randomly growing trees, these were diversified by man, and so you have a great variation of leaf colors adjacent to one another.
The Ugliest Buildings in New York
Finally, I present what may be the ugliest buildings in New York. The Port Authority is in the foreground, and it has its obvious unsightliness. But, the adjoining buildings that rise behind it are truly atrocious. I mean, is that a martini glass-shaped window in the red tower? The yellow overhanging box. The bits on the roof. The cryptic window design on the middle tower. It’s a tribute to the 1990s.
