Twilight in Central Park

A few photos from a walk around Central Park at dusk. One from the Pond, which I wanted to see in black and white with the intensity of the city lights against the bridge and darkness of the water. Another, in color, from the Lake (a bit further north) looking toward the same part of the skyline (I hadn’t noticed that until now, actually).

Central Park Lake

Central Park's Lake is smoothed by the time exposure, but the reflections are in tact.

Then, a pair of photos of an old tree on Central Park West. Both monochromatic, but the first has minimal processing, while I wanted to strike a bolder impression in the second one, given the tree is beautiful, but imposing—one of those “Halloween trees,” as I call them.
