Trip to Rehoboth

Today’s entry is a bit of a mixed bag. All of these photos were taken on a trip we took to Rehoboth. Some are beach pics, others are nature pics.

Beach Pics

I like all of these except the timelapse of the waves at night, the last photo in this section. Granted, there is a lack of elements to ground the photo compositionally, but the waves didn’t quite look the way I’d hoped. It’s a failed experiment. The photo is a 15-second exposure, and I was probably too far away to have the right perspective.

Nature Pics

These were in various places on the way to or from the beach. The covered bridge was an experiment. I wanted glassy water, so I got the tripod and took some long exposures with my ND filter. The end result, though, kinda frustrated me. This is the best of the bunch, and I like it, but don’t love it.

These two are damage from a bark beetle in a tree I encountered. While I feel for the tree, I thought the patterns were really unusual and appealing.
