The Hordes of Spring
On the first remotely warm day of spring, the entire city emerges from hibernation and stakes out every square foot of grass in the city. The meadows overflow and the walkways in the parks are akin to navigating Rockefeller Center around Christmas.
A little farther uptown, away from the bulk of tourists, the herd thins out a bit. This is the bridle path on the west side, with lots of pretty colors.
