Central Park in Fall
Took a stroll in Central Park. It is one of the most beautiful places in the city, and even more splendid in the fall.
This shot of the Bow Bridge is one of my best shots of the year. The lake was perfectly still, and the colors of the leaves and the sky made for a sublime photo, in my humble opinion.
Reservoir View
This view of the skyline from the Reservoir seems to be ever-changing with these new supertall additions.
This is actually a panorama of two photos. I wanted the include the crescent moon with the lake’s reflection, and it has that winter light quality, reminding me what’s coming soon.
Also, I did not exaggerate the moon, this is the actual size of the moon in the sky with this wide field of view.
Lake Reflections
One of the manmade vistas on The lake in Central Park is particularly beautiful in fall. The intentionally diverse tree plantings in the park make fall an amazing time to visit.
The photo with the duck is one of those photos that I struggle to know what is up and what is down. The duck is the one thing that grounds the photo.
Trees on Fire
A huge ginkgo tree towers over a small meadow in Central Park. Its leaves are so vivid in the fall, and the yellow carpet of leaves left on the ground makes me happy.
The next photo is taken from the tree’s trunk. Usually these don’t end up working out for me, but I kind of like this one.
Springbanks Arch
Looking down the Springbanks Arch. This was built in 1863, and allows the park stroller to cross the bridle path above.
Remains of the Day
My long shadow in the last moments of sunlight for this day.
