Hudson Yards

The Vessel

The Vessel is an attraction in the newly developed Hudson Yards. It’s a honeycomb-like structure that one can climb on—like an adult version of the monkey bars but with stairs.

Vessel abstractions

The Vessel forms some abstract shapes, and offers many warped reflections.

I have not yet determined if I like it or not, and I suppose that says a lot about my feelings for the structure. Are there any provocative angles that excite me? In time, I’ll find out, I suppose. For now, the jury is still out.

Vessel and the Shed

The Vessel and the Shed, a performing arts venue. The giant wheel allows the roof to slide off.

Eleventh Avenue

Cars rush down 11th Avenue.

Traffic rushing down 11th Avenue. I wanted to capture a satisfying motion, and this photo, when expanded and viewed large, does that for me.

The Zaha Hadid High Line Condo

An amazing building along the High Line designed by Zaha Hadid. Apartment porn at its best.

The new Zaha Hadid condo on 28th Street. It’s on the High Line, and out of all the new buildings there, I like this one best. I love its shapes and curves.

Formadible facade

A formidable facade at the Hudson Yards. Thought I might try an abstract version of this building.

Playing with pattern and shape here. I wanted to see if I could get one of those formidable looking shots with the overwhelming regularity of this facade.
