Eclipse Trip

Our sole mission for this trip is to see the total solar eclipse on August 21. This is a camping trip, so we’ve made no plans except that we needed to be in the narrow path of the eclipse shadow on that date.

I am not planning to photograph the eclipse—this is my first total solar eclipse and I want to experience it unfettered.

We made three general stops: Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Monument, Utah’s Arches National Park, and Wyoming’s Grand Tetons and Jackson area, where the path of the eclipse will pass.
